What if my credit card gets declined?
Unfortunately, it happens sometimes. Here are the most common reasons:
- Problem: you exceeded your credit limit
Solution: try another card
- Problem: Billing address doesn't match cardholder's bank records
Solution: Check out your last credit card statement and try again
- Problem: You entered the wrong CVV2 code
Solution: Locate the code on your card and try again
- Problem: Address verification is not supported by the bank that issued the card
Solution: Your credit card cannot be charged directly, and it is not a big problem. Why? Because you can still pay with your
credit card using the following services: iKobo.com or Western Union
I am confused with all those Credit Card Verification Codes. What are they? Where are are they located on my Credit Card?
About CVV2 Codes A CVV2 (Card Verification Value 2) code is a security feature of your credit card. It is an extra 3 or 4 digit number printed, but not raised, on the back of your card.
On American Express cards it is located on the front of the card. (see below) By verifying the CVV2 code of your card, we can be sure you have the card in front of you. This along with address (and zip code) verification (AVS) is used to prevent fraud. To provide extra security, we do not store the CVV2 code. Additionally, we provide a secure connection that encrypts your card information
before it is transmitted to us over the Internet. The credit card companies require this code be provided to us on each sale for your protection against fraud.
Finding the CVV2 Code on Your Credit Card
- Visa, MasterCard & Discover:
The CVV2 code is 3 digits printed on Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards in the signature panel on the back of the card. It is the last 3 digits AFTER the credit card number. Sometimes only the last 4 digits of your credit card number will be printed before the CVV2 code instead of the entire credit card number.
- American Express:
The American Express verification number is a small 4-digit number printed on the front of your card on the right hand side.
